what's the big deal?

i pulled this card from the topps diamond giveaway yesterday.  it's a freddie freeman diamond die cut card
currently there are about 60 offers out there for this card, ranging from a 1987 topps cal ripken to a similar jackie robinson die cut to a lot of 20 cards, including some vintage.

what's the big deal?  and why isn't my 1970 topps harry walker getting the same amount of love?
he's as confused as i am.

any thoughts?

I don't understand it either. I heard it was because they are limited. I also heard it they were going to be numbered to 250 but I have seen some that have more than 250 unlocked already.

Do you mean the big deal with the Diamond cut cards? I don't get it either. I think they are hideous. Maybe I'm the only card collector who doesn't want to have anything to do with those cards.
