here are some non-certified autos i have acquied through the mail over the last few months. some good, some (well, maybe one) bad, but all appreciated.
let's start with a couple of 1969 cubbies - jim hickman
and ken holtzmani have had success with hickman (a former dodger) before, but this was my first attempt with holtzman. i also sent along his 1978 topps card, figuring i would let holtzman choose which one to sign as he apparently signs only one card based on other successes i have seen. he chose the upper deck card and rightfully ignored the card featurng him as a yankee.
here's another 1969-er, ed kranepool of the new york mets
i feel like i've been seeing a lot of mr. met lately between receiving his 1971 topps card in a trade and pulling one of his cards from archives a couple of weeks ago.
yet another 1969-er, this time it's merv rettenmund from the first al east champions. rettunmund signed both timeless teams cards i sent him (1969
and 1970)
and then added another copy of his1969 card
that made 4 cards signed by rettenmund, as he also autographed a 1978 topps card i had sent along.finally, we have ray washburn, who signed two cards for me - his 1964 entry in the set as well as his 1967 card
thanks to all who sign ttm, and don't forget about the contest!
