lerrin lagrow was a dodger for the better part of one season - 1979 - and that was good enough for him to be featured on a 1980 topps card. better yet, lagrow signed and returned it to me in short order late last year
along with his 1978 topps card
lagrow was the closer for the white sox in 1977 and 1978. after making a couple of starts for them in 1979, he was sent to the dodgers where he won 5 games and saved 4 others in 31 appearances. he also picked up his first major league hit. after the 1979 season, he moved on to philadelphia but unfortunately was released midseason and didn't get to go to the postseason with the eventual world champs.
thanks lerrin!
