former dodger and current padres special assistant dave roberts announced earlier this week that he was diagnosed with hodgkin's lymphoma. it sounds like it was caught early and certainly roberts is in good spirits and positive about things as you might expect. he always came across as good, positive guy during his stint with the dodgers.
i had sent a couple cards to dave during spring training, and he signed and returned one of them - his 2003 topps card
it's a really nice card of him rounding second at dodger stadium, and i'm happy to have it in my collection.
