tommy lasorda ebay auto success!

i found this card on ebay a while ago and had to pull the trigger, since tommy has (so far) rebuffed my many attempts to get his autograph through the mail.

as always, i choose to believe it's legit (reputable dealer, good feeback etcetra, etcetra). while i haven't given up hope necessarily (every once in a while, someone will post about a ttm success), i am running out of 1978 topps lasorda cards to send.

tommy is getting up there in age, even though he pretty tirelessly continues his mission and march towards global saturation.  sometimes he can be kinda ornery, i guess, but he was entertaining to watch as a manager.  i recall one game where he came out of the dugout and played cheerleader, trying to get us fans going in a close game.  i am sure that, and many of his other antics annoy a lot of people, but 4 pennants, two world series titles, and being the manager of the team of my youth will buy you a lot of leeway from me.

back to the 1978 topps card - it is the 24th piece in my modest 1978 topps dodger autograph project.
