on his 1994 upper deck 'future is now' card. terry pendleton of the braves is bearing down. while he was not mike scioscia, piazza stood his ground at the plate pretty well as i recall.
i tried looking up the game from which this play might be from, but didn't find an occasion where pendleton was tagged out at the plate by piazza at fulton county stadium in 1993. pendleton did score on a balk against the dodgers at home that year, though. this could be a spring training game, i suppose.
the 1994 upper deck set is one of my favorites - it had some cool subsets and that distorted side photo on the base cards. good times.
